While anchored in a cove in the Chesapeake we awoke to this sight. I quickly grabbed my camera and took as many shots as I could which were used as reference for this painting. The tall ships had been in Philadelphia and were making their way home. Unfortunately several months later this ship went down in a storm. There has since been built a new replica of The Pride of Baltimore.
